About Me

My name is Joshua Salvador and I am a Digital Futures undergraduate who currently studies in OCAD University. I am capable of getting along with peers, colleagues and handle the pressure of school and work at the same time. I grew up and studied in different countries and that is why I am capable of adjusting to various working conditions and get along with different people from different backgrounds. I am seeking an opportunity where I could make use of my skills, contribute to growth, gain experience and improve my technical competencies.

Job Experience:

Video Game Design Coordinator at Fusion Jeunesse (in partnership with Ubisoft)   

March 2017 – June 2017

  • Taught young students video game design principles and guided them along the way during the video game production processes
  • Taught students how to use the program Construct 2 and assisted by helping them program video game mechanics
  • Cooperated with Ubisoft to provide useful insights during the students’ milestones of Alpha, Beta, and Final builds

Front-End Unity 3D Developer at Quipucamayoc 

July 2016 – September 2016

  • Conceptualized and programmed 2 new scenes for Quipucamayoc, a transmedia and translocal digital game
  • Improved existing scenes to achieve smooth motions as well as added introduction and ending scenes
  • Created promotional videos demonstrating the technological capabilities of the game equipment and program functions

Video Game Developer at Chronish Games    

January 2015 – September 2016

  • Programmed enemy NPC combat actions and player movements
  • Edited, designed, and programmed particle system effects to be used throughout the game
  • Was the main sound programmer and sound engineer for the game

Game Master at Suba Games 

June 2014 – September 2015

  • Trouble shoot issues from assigned Massively Multi Online Role Playing Games such as Lucent Heart and ACE Online resulting to a 60% increase in player satisfaction
  • Tested the assigned games before deployment and provided detailed written reports with applicable suggestions to improve usability, “fun factor” and overall game experience
  • Coordinated with major Asian video game developers such as PlayCoo (Taiwan) and Masangsoft (Korea) to ensure the quality of video games being published at Suba Games
